Axel was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August. The oncology team at Los Angeles Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Axel is 31, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Los Angeles Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,350 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $690 • Scans and lab work: $540 • Transport to Los Angeles Cancer Centre: $610 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,510 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Charlotte

Updates from Charlotte

  1. Quick update: $3,025 raised so far (41%). I made the first payment toward transport to Los Angeles Cancer Centre. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Update from Los Angeles: we've started the first stage. We're at 23% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
