Alp was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October. The oncology team at Bornova Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Alp is 24, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bornova Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
