Tshepo lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Durban General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,050.
His current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Tshepo could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Tshepo.
Sure. The biggest one is fitting and training sessions, $40. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks, that means a lot.
