Lagos
Yinka was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in February. The oncology team at Lagos University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in April. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Yinka is 33, worked as a tailor until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lagos University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,500 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050 • Transport to Lagos University Hospital: $135 • Household costs while unable to work: $185 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Blessing
