A skate park for the old Jacaranda bus depot: help our neighbors in Pelotas
Volunteers in Pelotas are raising $950 for a skate park at the old Jacaranda bus depot.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $950.
It will serve about 418 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $950 goes:
• Materials: $690
• Permits and inspections: $110
• Safety equipment and signage: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $115
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
