Fighting kidney cancer: help Veronica afford treatment in Rome
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Rome Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Veronica was diagnosed with kidney cancer in February. The oncology team at Rome Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Veronica is 40, worked as a construction supervisor until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rome Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $5,600 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,950
• Scans and lab work: $790
• Transport to Rome Regional Medical Center: $510
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $220
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,130
Thank you so much.
