Lucas was diagnosed with kidney cancer in August. The oncology team at Parramatta Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Lucas is 55, worked as a taxi driver until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Parramatta Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,850 goes: • Scans and lab work: $1,550 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $490 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,810 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
