Mark was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in May. The oncology team at East London Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Mark is 48, worked as a farmer until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to East London Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
