Vino was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in June. The oncology team at Jakarta Selatan University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Vino is 46, worked as a nurse until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Jakarta Selatan University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
