Incheon
Na-young was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in May. The oncology team at Incheon Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Na-young is 53, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Incheon Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $8,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,500 • Scans and lab work: $620 • Transport to Incheon Regional Medical Center: $390 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $370 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,170 With deep gratitude, Ha-joon

  • What's already covered and what's the $8,050 for?

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. chemotherapy and medication not covered comes first ($5,500) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Ask me anything else.
