Fighting early-stage lung cancer: help Emery afford treatment in Tallahassee
Emery is facing early-stage lung cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Emery was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in August. The oncology team at Tallahassee University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Emery is 37, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Tallahassee University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $750
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,650
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,750
