Arif was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in May. The oncology team at Thane University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Arif is 45, worked as a bank teller until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Thane University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
