Fighting colon cancer: help Temitope afford treatment in Lagos
12 rounds of treatment are planned at the Lagos Oncology Institute; we are asking for help with the costs insurance does not cover.

Temitope was diagnosed with colon cancer in May. The oncology team at the Lagos Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Temitope is 28, worked as a primary school teacher until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Lagos Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,400
• Scans and lab work: $170
• Transport to the Lagos Oncology Institute: $75
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130
• Household costs while unable to work: $125
