Fighting colon cancer: help Piper afford treatment in San Diego
Piper is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Piper was diagnosed with colon cancer in August. The oncology team at San Diego University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Piper is 50, worked as a primary school teacher until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Diego University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
