Fighting colon cancer: help Leonardo afford treatment in Ciudad de México
Supporting Leonardo through colon cancer: medication, transport to Ciudad de México University Hospital, and living costs while He can't work.
🇲🇽 Ciudad de México, Ciudad de México, Mexico350 views
In August I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My oncology team at Ciudad de México University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 4 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 34, I worked as a shop owner until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Ciudad de México University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $390
• Transport to Ciudad de México University Hospital: $300
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050
• Scans and lab work: $310
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Ciudad de México
Best of luck. Looking forward to the next update. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Dwarka.
Wishing you peace, Leonardo. Looking forward to the next update. It's not much but it's yours. God bless.
Keep going, Leonardo. It takes guts to ask. Well done. All the best.
Thinking of you and your family. This could happen to any of us. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
