Fighting cervical cancer: help Vidya afford treatment in Pune

Vidya was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July. The oncology team at Pune Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Vidya is 33, worked as a nurse until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Pune Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,500 goes: • Scans and lab work: $180 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $125 • Transport to Pune Cancer Centre: $95 I hope life is good to you.
