Saint-Étienne
Pierre was diagnosed with cervical cancer in March. The oncology team at Saint-Étienne Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Pierre is 30, worked as a farmer until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Saint-Étienne Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $9,500 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,000 • Scans and lab work: $1,200 • Transport to Saint-Étienne Cancer Centre: $1,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $370 • Household costs while unable to work: $930 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
