Fighting cervical cancer: help Orlando afford treatment in Taguig
Supporting Orlando through cervical cancer: medication, transport to Taguig Regional Medical Center, and living costs while He can't work.
Anywhere in the world668 views
Orlando was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at Taguig Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Orlando is 54, worked as a taxi driver until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Taguig Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200
• Transport to Taguig Regional Medical Center: $85
• Scans and lab work: $280
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $135

hope it all works out, Michelle. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Birmingham so I could bring a meal.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Petrópolis.
keep going. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Wish I lived closer to San Diego so I could bring a meal.
stay strong. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Hanoi.
Stay strong, Michelle. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
rooting for you, Michelle. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
