Mukono
Esther was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July. The oncology team at Mukono University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Esther is 58, worked as a taxi driver until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mukono University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $300 goes: • Scans and lab work: $90 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $55 • Household costs while unable to work: $155 Thank you for reading my story.
