Katharina is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Katharina was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in June. The oncology team at Karlsruhe Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Katharina is 41, worked as a tailor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Karlsruhe Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Scans and lab work: $1,450
• Transport to Karlsruhe Regional Medical Center: $530
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $470
