Franco was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in July. The oncology team at Latina Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Franco is 39, worked as a bus conductor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Latina Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Scans and lab work: $1,150
• Transport to Latina Cancer Centre: $390
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $290
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,920
