Cooper is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Cooper was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in February. The oncology team at Southampton Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Cooper is 39, worked as a bank teller until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Southampton Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,050 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,150
• Scans and lab work: $1,250
• Transport to Southampton Regional Medical Center: $300
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $350
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,000
