Feed 82 families each week at the Second Helping in Nashik
The the Second Helping pantry in Nashik is running low just as demand rises; $300 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Thursday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 82 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 59% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nashik market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $125
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $60
• Baby formula and diapers: $90
• Refrigeration and electricity: $25
