The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Fort Worth is running low just as demand rises; $2,750 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a community center. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 397 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 34% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Fort Worth market and keep every receipt.
Each $55 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $990
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,450
• Refrigeration and electricity: $310
