Fighting Hodgkin lymphoma: help Wambui afford treatment in Kampala
Wambui is facing Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Wambui was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in February. The oncology team at the Kampala Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Wambui is 36, worked as a bakery worker until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Kampala Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Household costs while unable to work: $280
• Transport to the Kampala Oncology Institute: $150
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $95
• Scans and lab work: $125
