Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 341 each week. Donations have dropped by about 41% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Epe market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $250 goes: • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $145 • Baby formula and diapers: $65 • Refrigeration and electricity: $40 Thanks for being kind about this.

    Truly grateful for the support

I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.

  • Hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Yonkers donated after I showed her your page.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Birmingham.
