Feed 331 families each week at the Harvest Pantry in Heliopolis
The the Harvest Pantry pantry in Heliopolis is running low just as demand rises; $550 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Saturday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 331 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 42% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Heliopolis market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $550 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $320
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $140
• Baby formula and diapers: $40
• Refrigeration and electricity: $50
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
