The the Thursday Table pantry in Sacramento is running low just as demand rises; $1,550 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Friday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 319 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 34% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Sacramento market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $240
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $960
• Baby formula and diapers: $350
