Feed 303 families each week at the Thursday Table in Nagpur
Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Nagpur.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 303 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 40% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nagpur market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $195
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $160
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
• Refrigeration and electricity: $80
I hope life is good to you.

Sending strength. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Hyderabad!
Sending good thoughts, Sneha. Shared it with a few friends.
So sorry you're going through this, Sneha. Your post was clear and honest. After 10 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
Take care. This could happen to any of us. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
hang in there, Sneha. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update. All the best.
