Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 285 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Novosibirsk market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $850 goes:
• Baby formula and diapers: $85
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $510
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $255
I hope life is good to you.

Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.
Thinking of you, Maria. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. All the best.
Stay strong, Maria. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.
