Feed 264 families each week at Community Pantry in Tuxtla Gutiérrez
Antonio runs a volunteer pantry feeding 264 families; this fund restocks shelves for the school holidays.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Saturday from the back of a community center. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 264 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 30% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Tuxtla Gutiérrez market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $640
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $330
• Refrigeration and electricity: $80
I hope life is good to you.
