Feed 247 families each week at the Second Helping in Rohini
The the Second Helping pantry in Rohini is running low just as demand rises; $500 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Saturday from the back of a community center. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 247 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 30% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Rohini market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $230
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $155
• Baby formula and diapers: $100
• Refrigeration and electricity: $15
I hope life is good to you.
- Myra

Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Suwon.
Hang in there, Myra. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope September is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Guadalajara.
Best of luck. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Rohini.
Thinking of you, Myra. Looking forward to the next update. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
