Feed 165 families each week at the Thursday Table in Bogotá
The the Thursday Table pantry in Bogotá is running low just as demand rises; $850 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 165 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 45% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bogotá market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $850 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $340
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $270
• Baby formula and diapers: $165
• Refrigeration and electricity: $75
