Feed 152 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in Bogotá
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Bogotá is running low just as demand rises; $750 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 22 families, and now we feed 152 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bogotá market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $750 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $155
• Baby formula and diapers: $140
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $455
With deep gratitude,
Andrés
