The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in London is running low just as demand rises; $1,850 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Tuesday from the back of a community center. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 124 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 46% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the London market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,150
• Refrigeration and electricity: $310
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $390
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
