Feed 122 families each week at the Thursday Table in Tehuacán
Josefa runs a volunteer pantry feeding 122 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Thursday Table every Saturday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 122 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 43% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 10 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Tehuacán market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $950 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $710
• Refrigeration and electricity: $65
• Baby formula and diapers: $175
Glad we found this place.

Wishing you the best. Great idea, hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings.
Rooting for you, Josefa. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. God bless.
Stay strong, Josefa. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless
Sending strength, Josefa. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 20 people at work.
more neighborhoods should do this. After 26 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Berlin
Keep going, Josefa. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Tehuacán.
