My taxi: Nnamdi's only way to earn a living
Without my taxi Nnamdi can't work; a $255 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my taxi. 4 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $255. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $255 goes:
• clutch assembly replacement (parts): $180
• Labor charges: $35
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $35
• Towing and inspection: $5
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

What's already covered and what's the $255 for?
Sure. The biggest one is clutch assembly replacement (parts), $180. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
Hang in there, Nnamdi. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Montgomery.
