Fe needs an adapted tricycle that the health system won't fund; the cost is $5,450.

Fe lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at San Diego General Hospital has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,450.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Fe could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $5,450 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $5,000
• Delivery and set-up: $160
• Fitting and training sessions: $290
