Yue, my sister, passed away on 2 February after a sudden heart attack. She was 68 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,650 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 12 February. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Yue to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $3,650 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $2,850 • Memorial gathering for the family: $350 • Transport of the deceased: $450 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
