Serkan, my uncle, passed away on 6 April after a road accident. He was 31 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 10 April. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Serkan to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $3,500 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $1,400 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,500 • Transport of the deceased: $390 • Memorial gathering for the family: $210 I hope life is good to you.
