Volunteers wanted: Katherine's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Albany: bring gloves and a rake.
🇺🇸 Albany, New York, United States775 views
I'm 74 and I have lived in this house in Albany for 29 years. After the storm in June, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
