Sachin, my brother, passed away on 19 September after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 39 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $300 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 5 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Sachin to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Madurai hospice.

• Transport of the deceased: $45
• Memorial gathering for the family: $35
