Maryam, my grandmother, passed away on 5 August after complications from pneumonia. She was 54 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $400 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 18 August. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Maryam to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Lahore hospice. Where the $400 goes: • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $105 • Transport of the deceased: $40 • Funeral home services and casket: $255 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
