Maria, my mother, passed away on 23 September after a short illness. She was 56 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,150 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 6 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Maria to have a dignified farewell.

Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Södertälje hospice.
