Madelyn, my sister, passed away on 19 September after a sudden heart attack. She was 44 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,350 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 1 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Madelyn to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,150
• Transport of the deceased: $380
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,820
