I coordinate donations at the Cedar Mosque in Wollongong. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Wollongong, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Cedar Mosque on Saturday between 11am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Cedar Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Thank you for reading my story.

Thinking of you and your family, Lily. Your post was clear and honest. Blessings.
Thinking of you, Lily. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Addis Ababa
a secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from San Jose
