Birmingham
Luca, my husband, passed away on 9 August after complications from pneumonia. He was 34 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 24 August. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Luca to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $1,500 goes: • Memorial gathering for the family: $270 • Transport of the deceased: $200 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,030 Glad we found this place. - Santiago
