Deepak, my father, passed away on 1 April after complications from pneumonia. He was 57 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,550 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 16 April.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Deepak to have a dignified farewell.

Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
