My husband Jun has been accepted for treatment at the Makati Cancer Centre in Makati, starting on Wednesday in September. We live 176 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Jun and me. We can contribute $30 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Jun will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you, Sheila. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.
