Fábio wants to stay at home - help fund eight months of care
Fábio, 75, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,650 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 75. After a fall and hip fracture Fábio can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Fábio desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Fábio worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $1,200
• Medication and prescriptions: $210
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $55
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $185
